During Pitti Uomo 88, Ports 1961 revealed their first Spring/Summer collection under new creative director Milan Vukmirovic. The Spring/Summer 2016 collection, deluged in laid-back city attire, is perfect for the exuberant traveller like founder Luke Tanabe and other men with an equally vehement wanderlust.
The designer presented his models slash voyagers including Nick Wooster and Eugene Tong in ethnic Kilim t-shirts, patchwork denim shirts, technical raincoats and multipocket utility jackets, which were colour blocked with palettes of muted tones. Featuring in the collection was also tailored sweatpants, carrot jeans, and Bermuda overalls, all complimented with a surfboard tucked nonchalantly under the arm. The collection evidently takes inspiration from the current oversized trend, with wide cut tailoring and oversized vests epitomising the comfy, casual look on the runway.
