Derek Buse & Joe Sandler, page the duo of designers behind CWST, drew their inspiration from a series of different backgrounds for their Autumn/Winter 2016 show. The midnight blue composition, the green lawn and the smoke, settled altogether for the occasion, illustrated Joe Sandler and Derek Buse’s everyday creative lives, as a response to their Autumn/Winter 2016 campaign shot along the Orcas Island.
A collection designed for the nomad, the whole Autumn/Winter 2016 collection showcased long poncho-scarves, layered hoodies, shearling jackets and asymmetric hems for menswear silhouettes. CWST also toyed with patterns for their Autumn/Winter offering, giving the audience a reinterpretation of the nomad lifestyle and the indian tribes who have been populating the archipelago of San Juan for thousands of years. With the likes of Malcolm Lindberg and Michael Lockley, CWST took on some modern and familiar faces to deliver a more than thought-provoking collection.
