PAUSE Visits: Bermondsey Square Hotel

By February 16, 2016Hotel Reviews, Lifestyle

The Bermondsey Square Hotel in trendy South London brims with personality, individuality and soul. Fusing an industrial aesthetic with London skyline views, a contemporary British-inspired menu, a pantry offering home-made cakes and pastries, and complimentary tea and coffee all day, we immediately felt right at home.

PAUSE checked into the Leathermarket Terrace Suite, which boasts a private balcony overlooking the thriving Bermondsey Square (and antique market on Fridays!), Mattison beds, a work space, super shower, eco boutique toiletries, tea and coffee making facilities, hair dryer and vanity mirror. The design of the terrace room was contributed by local Architecture students, one of the many community projects run by Bermondsey Square.

Our only disappointment was that we didn’t check into the Lucy Suite, which has an 8 person hot tub overlooking Big Ben and The Shard. There’s always next time!

Best bits:

  • Walking distance to London Bridge, Maltby Street Market, Tate Modern
  • Buzzing restaurants and indie cinema on Bermondsey Square
  • Free wifi
  • Helpful and professional staff
