Meet Kwaleö, everyone’s new favourite e-shop.
It was about time. In our quest to find a platform that would bring together quality clothing, thoughtful art and envying lifestyle objects, we came across Kwaleö, who seems well on track to become everyone’s new favourite. The e-shop gets its distinctive name from the literal translation of Swahili’s ‘enjoy the moment’ and is all about curating a selection of creative and pleasant items.
Founded by entrepreneur Laurent-Antoine Faboumy, the online concept store gathered the likes of Stuart Megarry (COO and fashion consultant), Dora Hothi Mentzel and journalist & community manager Samantha Jagger around one common project.
What makes Kwaleö’s special is definitely its unique filters, which focus on the individual customers’ wishes. Style, gender, budget or occasion: the detailed search criteria help you getting exactly what you’re looking for, thanks to a functional platform.
A young and dynamic platform, Kwaleö is to delight independent labels’ aficionados as well as homeware and gadgets lovers. Products selection ranges from macbook cases to refined furniture, but we at PAUSE kept an eye on London-based designer Kaan Amjad’s striped lounge pants, a Bureau Tonic colour block sweatshirt and Underated London hoodies. When it comes to eye-catching accessories, we must admit we had a thing for sunglasses from Waiting for the Sun, and a Studio-805 tote bag is to add to our current wishlist.
