Defining chic during Paris Fashion Week is probably the hardest thing to do. Chic is is the air, from the wine drank on a terrasse in the middle of a lazy afternoon, to the cool way Parisians sport any outfit from their wardrobe. But it was more than ever omnipresent at Lucien Pellat-Finet’s Autumn/Winter 2017 fashion show, held in the très chic Place des Victoires (in the capital’s 2nd district), the French designer’s stuck to his signature pure cashmere knitted sweaters and twisted the menswear collection with rebellious cannabis leaves motif, visible on the chest or on a pendant hanging from a necklace.
After 23 years of presentation held during Paris Fashion Week, Lucien Pellat-Finet eventually introduced the audience with a menswear fashion show as dynamic and refined as possible. For his premiere Autumn/Winter 2017 collection, Pellat-Finet drew his inspiration in his Japanese connections, and extended them to tracksuits, sweatshirts and comfortable flat sandals : a style very much welcomed by those seeking relaxed silhouettes with a touch of humour. As we told you, chic is always the answer.
