Record 50% sales jump.
It seems like appointing Alessandro Michele as Gucci’s new creative director in 2015 really paid off. Not only the Italian fashion house underwent a serious brand image makeover that helped the brand reinvent itself as stylish and always on trend, Gucci’s latest sales numbers went up too. In the first fiscal quarter of 2017, Gucci made a massive 48.3 % sales jump. All products categories made more profit and Gucci’s retail sales grew 34%. Gucci finally managed to beat Saint Laurent, another Kering-owned brand that experienced a major makeover. Thanks to both brands, Kering experienced a revenue growth of 28.6%.
