In regards to recent trends, this Democratic Design Days Event couldn’t have come sooner.
It has been speculated that there is a potential collaboration with the furniture giant IKEA and OFF-WHITE’s creator Virgil Abloh. At (supposedly) his exclusive interview with Hypebeast, be discusses how he comes to his ideas, without any connection to a genre or where it comes from. At the annual Democratic Design Days Event, an event where IKEA open up and allow the public to get a closer look at their designs, it is speculated that Abloh will be speaking about his approach to design and the way he creates. The event is held on Swedish soil and will be live streamed here on June the 7th at 15:30 CET. In the lead up to this date, we at PAUSE are hoping IKEA will talk about the recent trend of the re-fabrication and restyling of the classic FRAKTA bag.
