Bodega and Albino & Preto have teamed up to release a capsule collection. Influenced by Brazillian Jiu-Jitsu, Bodega chose Jiu-Jitsu outfitters Albino & Preto for obvious reasons, encompassing both traditional roots and contemporary style. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is one of the most prevalent disciplines amongst amateur practitioners, thanks to the widespread applicability of its techniques. The collection includes a classic white Gi featuring unbleached fabric, referencing how martial arts garments were created before the availability of textile treatments. An indigo version of the Gi represents the indigo dying technique that Japanese construction is renowned for. These both feature traditional Judo attire such a skirting and an inside yolk pattern influenced by puzzles representing the Yosegi puzzle box, A&P logo and the puzzle of knowledge. The collection also includes casual pieces, shorts and graphic T-Shirts with key pieces being a ‘Sometimes Friends Fight’ long sleeve T-Shirt and Canvas Fabric Track Pants.
The Bodega x Albino & Preto capsule collection will launch at SERIES by Bodega on 28th July, coinciding with Boston’s Summer International Open IBJJF Jiu-Jitsu Championship.
