South African designer and LVMH Prize 2019 winner Thebe Magugu has teamed up with luxury 24s for an exclusive collection.
Informed by the designer’s African heritage, Magugu adapts womenswear pieces to create men’s and women’s garments which are designed with a combination of tailoring and fluidity. Taking from his cultural roots to create a modern collection that’s graphic-heavy, the designers debut sees him reference the South African Black Sash movement with pieces like his Basotho Blanket Poncho, long overcoat designed with drawstring on the sleeve and decorated with an all-over print, a button-up shirt dressed in graphics and two pocket jeans elevated with metal hardware.
