New Balance & BAPE Unite for Collaborative 57/40 Sneaker

Back together again.

Having previously taken on New Balance’s 2002R sneaker, BAPE is back for more as unofficial images are released of the streetwear titan’s take on New Balance’s 57/40 silhouette.

In keeping with BAPE’s chaotic design style, the streetwear brand provide two different versions of New Balance’s 57/40 silhouette, with the first colourway including BAPE’s standard multi-coloured and multi-patterned style. Some of the featured shades present on this first pair include orange, magenta, royal blue, white, and black, whilst the traditional BAPE camouflage pattern adorns the New Balance insignia on the upper of the shoe, arriving in an array of pastel shades. The second iteration that is rumoured to be dropping takes a slightly more muted take as shades of grey, black, and white dominate the entirety of the shoe’s colour palette, with the overlays and colour blocking in keeping with the first pair’s layout. Both iterations of the BAPE x New Balance 57/40 also utilise BAPE’s traditional shark teeth pattern, using the unmistakable branding on the sneakers’ heel.

No release date has been unveiled for the pairs so far, but stay tuned to PAUSE for more information as it arrives. Check out unofficial imagery below.
