Take a Look at Virgil Abloh’s Final Collection with Mercedes-Maybach

By April 7, 2022Fashion News

Marking the end of 'Project MAYBACH'...

Taking inspiration from Virgil’s own ‘Project MAYBACH’, the final instalment of the Mercedes-Maybach x Virgil Abloh collaboration is here as Mercedes unveil a limited-edition bespoke S-Class vehicle as well as a capsule collection.

Designed by Abloh before his untimely death, the vehicle has had only 150 units made and is based upon the design of the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class S680. The vehicle sees an “Obsidian Black” and “Sand” colour palette dominate the interior leather, whilst including back seat leg rests, cushioned seats, and a central touchscreen operating system. The exterior of the Maybach by Virgil Abloh continues this unique colour palette, with the outside panelling of the car having a largely “Sand” coloured bottom and an “Obsidian Black” coloured top. Additionally, a collaborative set of branding can be seen around various parts of the car’s interior.

Designed in cooperation with Off-White, the garment capsule collection maintains the colour scheme of the Maybach by Virgil Abloh and includes collaborative branding and designs on several pieces, ranging from leather driving gloves and cotton crewnecks to hoodies and canvas baseball caps.

The Mercedes-Maybach x Virgil Abloh engineered car and capsule collection are available to purchase now, with the clothing range being available via the Off-White, Maybach Icons of Luxury, and Farfetch online stores.
