Jacquemus' New Selfridges Outpost.
The latest addition to Selfridges, Jacquemus recently opened a new boutique space in the London retailer’s Accessories Hall which will play host to the label’s latest and greatest across bags, wallets and other leather goods.
Designed in partnership by Simon Porte Jacquemus and AMO, the research and design counterpart of the renowned architectural practice OMA, the 860sq ft space opens up to the store’s Duke Street façade and sees the interior crafted with a clay-based material packed with secret cabinets. Speaking on the news, Ellen van Loon, OMA Partner commented:
“The inspiration for the design of the Jacquemus space owes to the brand’s origins in the south of France. We wanted to capture the atmosphere of Provence through the materiality of the space, which led us to approach the design in a different way altogether. Instead of working with form and deciding on the materials afterward, we chose the materials at the outset and let them guide the shape of the space.”
Offering key bags such as the Chiquito, Bambino, Baneto, and Pichoto, among other accessories – check out some shots of the new space below and head down to Selfridges London to check it out for yourself.
