As a brand known to fuse fashion and architecture, you can expect a lot when A-COLD-WALL* announces a new concept store and they did not disappoint with their latest offering.
Located in Shanghai’s new Taikoo Li Qiantan retail complex, the project led by founder and artistic director Samuel Ross aimed to create a space for “material exploration, detailed study and permanent interaction”. Much like the Beijing store, this store is also accented with blocks of ‘Primary Volt Blue’ through the entry walkway and the borders of floor-to-ceiling glass facades. This bright shade is offset with brutalist influences through geometrical, cement interiors and a charred wood installation in the centre of the store.
