TikTok speculates the possibility of an outrageous collaboration
Conspiracy theories on TikTok are anything but scarce on the social media platform and the latest to go viral is the possible collaboration between Target and Balenciaga. This potential news comes from self-acclaimed real estate investor Dan Bravo who believes Target will be opening a “premium concept store” dubbed ‘Target Black’, stocking exclusive product lines from Supreme and Balenciaga as well as an organic food section and a Starbucks Reserve Roastery.
The video shows an under-construction building with a ‘Target Black’ logo on the west side of Manhattan which is where the storefront is speculated to be, however, it could just be the corporate office that’s located in the same area. Neither Supreme nor Balenciaga has commented on the matter since the release of the video but if this were to be true, it wouldn’t be the first time Target has taken to high-end fashion through collaborative collections with Sandy Liang, Victor Glemaud, and Rachel Comey.
As a brand known to be exclusive and mysterious, it would come as a surprise if Balenciaga really did collaborate with the big box department store chain, altering their image irreversibly if they were to do so.
