Supreme’s creative director Tremaine Emory has chosen to collaborate with Sky High Farm Workwear for a collection under his own label Denim Tears. With the aim of honouring the African Diaspora, they have tapped into the cornucopia of what Emory dubs ‘Black Foods’ by referencing the foods that the designer ate whilst growing up in Queens.
The collection includes a plethora of items such as a wool suit, cashmere knit, carpenter pants, a waxed duster coat, and a vintage-washed hoodie all plastered with imagery of okra, collard greens, black-eyed peas, and watermelon seed packets. Also available are t-shirts, thermals and a vintage leather jacket hand-painted by Fernando Ruiz.
