Idris Elba Raises Awareness for Knife Crimes with the NFL

For NFL's 'My Cause My Cleats' Week 13 initiative.

British actor, Idris Elba, and his purpose-led label ‘Don’t Stab Your Future’ collaborates with London-born Dallas Cowboy coach Aden Durde for a customised pair of Nike Air Force Ones to raise awareness for knife crimes. The collaboration comes together because of NFL’s week 13 initiative titled ‘My Cause My Cleats’ that launched in 2016 which allows players, coaches and staff across the league to wear custom-painted footwear to highlight non-profit organisations that they resonate with.

As a result, Durde wore these custom Nikes at the game against the Indianapolis Colts this past Sunday. The shoe’s midsole features 14 London postcodes that have been affected by knife crime as neon graffiti covers the upper of the shoe, representing London’s urban landscape. DSYF branding can be seen on the heel with a subtle Union Jack detail seen on the ‘AIR’ writing of the midsole, a nod to the pair’s British roots.

Check out the shoes below.
