'TRACES'
The symbolism of transience, luck and protection plays a leading role in Per Götesson’s collection for Fall/Winter 2023 as the Swedish designer delves into the traces and fragments of sartorial memories to present a collection that makes us question what we cherish and what we are afraid to leave behind.
Taking inspiration from talismanic objects found in the British Museum, the thought-provoking collection fuses the designer’s sustainable approach to design with his signature alter-masculine aesthetic and its theme of memories as everyday items are given hiding meanings (a key representing the protection of the home) and garments are slashed to expose the sensual archetype of the ‘PG’ man.
