New Balance return for their annual celebratory ‘Grey Day’ with 2023 set to see the debut of their “Moon Daze” sneaker pack, which is filled with exciting new grey-themed NB silhouettes.
After last year’s raving ‘Grey Day’ success, New Balance have rolled the celebrations out for 2023 as they continue to pay homage to the new and classic expressions of the brand’s enduring legacy in the colour grey. Born in the 1970s, New Balance’s affection for grey originally started as a solution for urban runners whose white shoes were getting destroyed by the wet and dirty city conditions, with the signature grey suede reinforcing durability and matching the colour of asphalt. Many years later, New Balance’s love affair with the colour grey continues to thrive.
Going bigger and better for 2023, this latest drop from New Balance sees a bespoke “Moon Daze” collection take the floor as four classic New Balance silhouettes, including the 550, 580, 9060, and Fresh Foam x More Trail v3, are primed and ready for release, with this newest creative endeavour drawing inspiration from the future and begging the question: What would shoes look like after walking on another planet? Beyond this, other new and exclusive inclusions in New Balance’s day of celebration include a grey version of the 574, A MADE in USA* capsule including the 990v4, 990v6, 996, and 998 silhouettes in grey hues, a limited-edition Furon v7 football boot, as well as a Numeric skate pack featuring the Tiago Lemos 808 and the Grey Day 306.
The New Balance ‘Grey Day’ collections will be available to purchase on the New Balance website starting May 12th.
