Marcelo Burlon County of Milan x Levi's
Levi’s and Marcelo Burton, creator of County of Milan, have launched their collaborative collection, partnering up to celebrate 150 years of Levis’ most iconic design: the 501 jean.
The limited collection has been named as an upcycling operation, with the designs being created using laser technology in order to create a tonal patchwork logo that can be recognised from signature Marcelo Burton County of Milan designs. The collection will feature two pieces, the first of which being an oversized Levi’s Vintage Trucker jacket made from organic cotton – which is based off of Levi’s popular Type II Trucker Jacket – and boasts a worn-in and washed-out look as well as a trendy boxy-fit look. Of course, the collaborative collection had to feature a pair of jeans, with the chosen recreated style being the ‘Authentic Straight Vintage 551Z Jeans’, which were originally manufactured in Japan by Kaihara Mills. This pair are designed to be a tribute to the first ever pre-shrunk Levi’s jeans.
