It seems as though Balenciaga’s current creative director – Demna Gvasalia – is set to extend his contract at the Spanish fashion house.
Taking to his dedicated “demnagram” social media account, the divisive creative director of Balenciaga shared a post that underlined his confirmation to WWD that he would infect be extending his contract with the industry giant. While Balenciaga have been working their way back into the general fray over 2024, questions marks still remain about the brand in the aftermath of their ill-fated Christmas 2022 and Spring 2023 campaigns, ones which left many consumers worried and bemused about the future intentions of the brand. The all but official confirmation of his contract renewal lays any questions to bed about a potential change in creative direction or leadership.
