Nike Under Fire for Allegedly Copying Satisfy Design

Nike ended 2024 by subtly dropping a $100 t-shirt under their running division. The shirt boasts inlets strategically placed throughout the garment to aid in cooling down runners. However, the groundbreaking addition to Nike Running was first developed by Satisfy in 2015, and has been a staple technology in all of their running garments.

Called MothTech, the technology has served as “the intersection of culture, performance, and functionality, serving as the foundation for our disruptive approach to redefining running culture,” said the Satisfy press release.

The brand further explained that the shirt from Nike was indeed not a collaboration, and was merely appearing “to imitate our signature shirt.” At the time of writing, Nike has yet to reply to Satisfy’s Linkedin post, which initially broke the news.
