Korean eyewear mainstays Gentle Monster are back with a bang for 2025, making sure that bedazzled eyewear is going absolutely nowhere.
The modern outfit’s new 2025 Jewellery Collection continues to build upon its cutting-edge design DNA, with sleek, cleanly-cut silhouettes being brought to life with fun-loving colourways, designs, and adornments. The fantastical campaign sees Gentle Monster enlist up-and-coming Japanese actress, Sena Nakajima, who dons a pair of Bijou De 02 sunglasses and the Briolette 02 frames in two looks. In rather royal style, Nakajima channels her inner queen by holding up a large bejewelled wang in hand, all the while wearing her new pair of dazzling Gentle Monster frames. In addition to some limited campaign imagery, a short concept film was released alongside the shots, showing Nakajima on a rooftop as she interacts with “herself,” intertwining with her alternate and dreamy non-reality. Continuing this theme, Nakajima then transforms into a magical being, taking Gentle Monster’s left-of-centre design styles and running with them into a new world, all to the soundtrack of DJ Yaeji’s “Raingurl.”
Gentle Monster’s 2025 Jewellery Collection will be available to shop in store on January 10th.
