Menswear is so Back.
Timberland and Jacquemus have come together to release La Bateau, a 3-eye lug boat shoe catered to modern menswear trends.
It’s no secret that the boat shoe is making a comeback. However, these aren’t the Sperrys that you used to catch on frat bros frolicking on yachts. La Bateau was first introduced in 1978, becoming a summer coastal staple across posh areas globally. Designed in Banana Yellow, a hue favoured by Simon Porte Jacquemus, the shoe features premium leather developed by Timberland.
Details span a rugged lug outsole, similar to the Paraboots we’ve seen all over menswear social media, alongside soft leather lining, cotton laces and co-branded metal laces keepers and lace eyelets.
Timberland and Jacquemus’ La Bateau shoe will be available from April 23rd on the Jacquemus website and select retail locations. They’ll also be included in the Los Angeles store opening on April 24th. Check out the product images below.
