The New Balance T500 Returns with AURALEE’s Touch

A court classic.

Originally released in 1982, the New Balance T500 returns this autumn through the lens of Tokyo-based fashion label AURALEE. The collaboration reinterprets the shoe, elevating the classic court-style design into a form that feels timelessly minimal and sophisticated.

Founded in 2015 by Japanese designer Ryota Iwai, AURALEE has built a name around calm elegance and subtle precision. That same design sensibility runs through this reworked T500, first revealed at Paris Men’s Fashion Week earlier this year.

For this project, AURALEE looked to the lived-in beauty of well-worn shoes – pieces that carry a sense of time and familiarity. The result is two muted colourways: Vintage Brown, combining soft nubuck with airy mesh, and Vintage Ivory, crafted from premium perforated leather.

When the T500 first landed, it wasn’t just about performance on the court – it was about capturing the refined image of tennis itself. That blend of function, premium materials and understated style is exactly what keeps the silhouette relevant today.

The AURALEE × New Balance T500 is available exclusively at AURALEE and select stores globally.
