Denim Tears is back this Friday.
Available from December 5th, the new collection continues Tremaine Emory’s pursuit of building a living archive through clothes, translating history into garments with emotional and visual potency. YOU WON’T BLEED US draws from political memory, seventies cool, and Emory’s ongoing examination of Black cultural expression. The collection’s visual world, captured by Liam MacRae, keeps a sharp focus on the product and reinforces Denim Tears’ instinct for storytelling simply through texture, silhouette, and symbol.
The lineup introduces black leather Panther trousers with high-waisted detailing that nod to the aesthetic of the Black Panther movement. Seventies and eighties styling cues run throughout: elongated silhouettes, sculptural knits, and a sleek futuristic tracksuit that merges clean lines with engineered paneling. The collection broadens further with an upworked high-waisted hoodie set featuring innovative construction, a white zip-up knit, a hoodie defined by an eagle motif and back detailing, and an interesting combination of giraffe print paired with a fuzzy vest. Denim Tears’ signature plait-print patchwork also returns, reimagined in new color variations.
YOU WON’T BLEED US arrives with intention and distinctive pieces this Friday. The collection will also be available at African Diaspora Goods on Spring Street in New York, alongside the brand’s Atlanta and Miami residencies.
