Venetian heritage mixed with A$AP Rocky’s creative universe.
Historic Venetian jeweller Codognato has joined forces with A$AP Rocky for a collaboration that explores the space between jewellery, sculpture and personal mythology. Founded in 1866, the house is internationally recognised for its symbolic language and meticulous craftsmanship. Through this project, Codognato translates Rocky’s creative universe into a series of powerful and deeply personal objects.
A long-time Codognato collector, Rocky was first drawn to the maison’s heritage and its approach to jewellery as wearable art. His connection deepened through a pair of blindfolded skull rings, one of which he wore so consistently it became inseparable from his identity. Building on this masked skull motif, originally inspired by the Mocking of Christ, Codognato proposed expanding the idea of hidden eyes and concealed selves.
The collaboration took shape around the six alter egos Rocky created in the lead-up to his album release. Using reference imagery and the narrative behind each persona, Codognato translated these identities into sculptural jewellery. The result is a collection of seven skull rings, each representing an alter ego, alongside a bold statement piece: a single bone ring that unites all six heads.
Rooted in more than 160 years of Venetian craftsmanship, the collection balances humour, symbolism and energy, engaging with contemporary culture while reaffirming Codognato’s enduring relevance through Rocky’s modern creative vision.
