An expansion beyond outerwear.
Rains is stepping into footwear for the first time, introducing The Dry Boot and Mirage, two contemporary styles designed to bring the brand’s signature approach to waterproof dressing below the ankle.
Launching on August 5, the new footwear marks a significant step for Rains as it continues to expand beyond its recognisable rainwear. The designs keep things clean and architectural, pairing waterproof construction with sculptural shapes intended for everyday city life.
Developed with Danish designer Martin Sallières, the footwear is built around comfort, movement and protection across wet and dry conditions. The Dry Boot takes centre stage as a practical all-weather style, designed to move between commuting, walking and cycling without sacrificing its pared-back aesthetic.
The launch will also see Rains bring its city-focused ethos into stores, with installations featuring oversized Dry Boot sculptures where customers can share their own recommendations and experiences of their city. These contributions will eventually form a community-led City Guide.
With footwear joining its existing ready-to-wear, bags and homeware offering, Rains is steadily building out a complete lifestyle wardrobe designed around unpredictable weather and modern urban life.
