Could Ye’s Yeezy Brand Be Making A Return?

By August 12, 2026FASHION NEWS

Looks like we have a surprise.

On the 13th August in the United States, JD Sports will stock new Yeezy products, the first major retailer to do so since 2022. Kicking off what seems like a new, Adidas-free Yeezy era, the Yeezy YS-01 Slides will be available via retailers.

Yeezy and Adidas went their separate ways back in 2022 after Yeezy founder Ye (Formally known as Kanye West) sparked controversy online, putting an abrupt hiatus on the brand. Though Mr West continued selling his products at a budget price via Yeezy.com, no major retailer wanted to take a chance on the musician’s fashion brand.

Fast forward to 2026, and we can say that Yeezy products will no longer have that Adidas twist to them, as Steven Smith, the designer of the initial Adidas cosigned run, will not be there. Instead, for the last few years, Yeezy’s have been made by anonymous designers that the brand collaborates with.

What do you think will happen? Will the resurgence of Yeezy be successful? Mock up pictures of the YS-01 are out now. Check it out below.
