Apple Music Hall is coming to Battersea Power Station.
Apple is stepping into a new space, quite literally. The tech giant has announced Apple Music Hall, a new 600-capacity live music venue opening inside London’s Battersea Power Station on 28 September.
And while the venue only holds 600 people, keeping things relatively intimate, Apple certainly hasn’t held back on the set-up. In true Apple fashion, they’ve gone big on the tech, with a 38-foot-wide stage that can switch between traditional front-facing shows and performances in the round, alongside a 48-speaker Spatial Audio system. The space has also been designed with clear sightlines throughout, so there’s no bad seat in the house.
You won’t necessarily need a ticket to tune in either. Behind the stage are two recording and mixing studios, allowing performances to be captured in Spatial Audio and across multiple cameras, with shows also able to be livestreamed to audiences around the world.
The tech may be new, but the space hasn’t forgotten its location. Heritage brickwork, fluted arches and bronze balconies reference Battersea Power Station’s history, while a huge glass wall looks out towards the Thames.
Apple Music Hall officially opens on 28 September, with upcoming shows and ticket information still to come.
