We’ve all been waiting for this one, and after months of giving us sneak peeks, Cactus Jack x Oakley is finally here. Travis Scott and Oakley are officially opening the first chapter of their collaboration with “Chapter 001,” a limited drop built around three reworked eyewear icons: the Plantaris, Straight Jacket® 99 and Eye Jacket® Redux. Each model has been personally curated and redesigned by Scott in his role as Oakley’s Chief Visionary Officer, arriving in two exclusive Cactus Jack colourways — CJ Matte Mesquite and CJ Black Ink. Finished with Prizm™ Snow Black lenses for enhanced colour and contrast, the frames also come packaged in custom Cactus Jack micro bags and boxes, extending the collaboration’s visual language well beyond the eyewear itself.
And if the product wasn’t enough, the campaign comes with some serious names behind it. Scott tapped acclaimed filmmaker Nicolas Winding Refn to help shape the campaign, with Team Oakley athlete Justin Jefferson starring in the visuals. After months of teasers and glimpses, Chapter 001 finally gives us a full look at where the Cactus Jack and Oakley universe is heading — mixing Oakley’s futuristic, performance-driven DNA with Travis Scott’s unmistakable aesthetic. The collection drops on TravisScott.com on 24 September, followed by Oakley.com on 25 September.
