Burberry Marks 170 Years with Anniversary Campaign

By September 29, 2026FASHION NEWS

Four cities, 170 faces and ten outerwear styles.

If there’s one thing Britain can guarantee, it’s unpredictable weather. Burberry has been dressing people for it since 1856, and now, the brand is celebrating 170 years of outerwear with a campaign spanning four cities.

Titled “170: The Anniversary Portraits”, the new project takes Burberry’s coats and jackets out onto the streets of London, New York, Seoul and Shanghai. Across the four cities, 170 people have been photographed wearing ten of the house’s outerwear styles, each giving the pieces their own character.

Shot by Jack Day and directed by Hector Aponysus, the campaign takes inspiration from the house’s 2009 ‘Art of the Trench’ project, and includes a mix of familiar names and local faces, with Arlo Parks, Lila Moss, Kai-Isaiah Jamal, Nico O’Reilly, Sage Elsesser and OG Anunoby among those featured.

Finally, the outerwear itself covers plenty of ground, from the brand’s signature Kensington and Waterloo trenches to leather and cashmere coats, puffers and quilted jackets. Burberry’s House Check also makes an appearance across several of the pieces.
