A collab that smells and looks good.
Byredo and Iittala are bringing a little more mood to the home. The two Nordic brands have joined forces for “LJUS”, a new collection that brings together Iittala’s stylish glassmaking with Byredo’s world of fragrance, exploring what happens when scent, light and glass collide. The outcome? A five-piece collection of sculptural glass objects designed to accompany some familiar rituals.
There’s a candle stand, candle ornament, incense holder and fragrance diffuser vessel, alongside the standout light refractor, a rippled glass vessel created to hold a candle, distorting and reflecting the flame as it burns.
Each piece is handcrafted at Iittala’s factory in Finland, with subtle variations in the glass created as part of the process, giving each one a little individuality and an almost one-of-one feel. Paired with Byredo candles and incense, the pieces play with how fragrance, glass and light can change the ambience of a room, with prices starting at £155 for the candle stand and moving up to £300 for the light refractor.
The Byredo x Iittala “LJUS” collection launches globally on 16th October through both brands, just in time for cosy season.
