PAUSE Moment: Air Jordan V “Fire Red”

By January 25, 2013Fashion News, Sneakers

Over the years, the Jordan brand has blessed us with era defining releases that transcend boundaries and become more than a shoe. This year, we celebrate the twenty-third anniversary of the Jordan brand and to commemorate this momentous occasion,  the Air Jordan V will be available for purchase this month in a striking “Fire Red” colour way.

We were first introduced to this classic in the early 90s; Michael Jordan was at the peak of his powers and on course for a fourth NBA title and MC Hammer released “Can’t Touch This”. Since, we’ve seen a further two reincarnations of the Jordan V and not much of MC Hammer. Unfortunately, unlike the 2006 replicas, the 2013 edition doesn’t feature the iconic “23” emblazoned on the  ankle, but does feature the oversized reflective tongue, transparent, frosted sole that perfectly complements the black and allows the fire-red a much more vivid presence.

Like the majority of new Jordan releases, the V “Fire Red” will undoubtedly be one of the most coveted amongst sneaker-heads and will be available for purchase on Saturday 26th January, priced at £135.

If you’re one of the fortunate ones with a pair of these, tweet us pictures.
