Most notable for their wooden frames, Shwood have decided to take things a step further by staying with their natural theme but featuring stone frames, instead of wood for their new and bold collection.
The Oregon based label have infused timeless styles with precision technology and highly skilled craftsmanship. They’ve also updated already well known designs such as the Belmont, which features a quirky keyhole bridge and the Canby with the stone designs.
For the collection, the label had to enlist the help of a German engineering firm to combine millimetre-thick slices of stone to make the frames. Each pair is handmade in their Portland, Oregon workshop accompanied by 100% UVA/UVB protection Carl Zeiss lenses imported from Italy.

The quickly gained cult status super brand, Blood Brother chose ‘Courage’ as the starting point for their spring offering and – in their own words, this is seen as a way of ‘injecting energy and hyper print’ and ‘taking risks with supercharged patterns that summarises the spirit of summer’ into a wearable street influenced brand.
With stand out graphic hyper prints painted with rainbow colours a-mid animalistic black and white and with camouflage with a dose of blues and greens it’s hard not to see these becoming the uniform of youth this spring. Injecting energy and super charged pattern? Check.
It’s not all about loud print, there’s room here too for the classic shape and style. We love the cotton shirts that give off a 50’s vibe with words emblazoned across the breast pocket, it’s this sort of contemporary twist that Blood Brother does so well. Fans of the logo T-shirt, fear not – they have it covered.
For PAUSE, camouflage is the clear winner here. Every single piece could happily find a place in our wardrobe.
Never afraid to push the boundaries (dropped crutchs, we’re looking at you), and as we predicted with their first collection, Blood Brother are here to stay. This is the kind of brand that is homegrown and deserves to flourish.
We’ve said it before and will say it again. Go forth, join the brotherhood.
Blood Brother is available to buy now from Selfridges, Harrods and available from ASOS.
