Since graduating from the Royal College of Art, Danish designer Trine Lindegaard has attracted critical acclaim for her bold menswear collections. Each one reads as a socio-politcal commentary, reflecting a concern and desire to represent a world which extends beyond the realms of fashion. Her SS13 offering is no exception. The collection revolves around form, colour and line, with geometric arrangements and bold colour usage combining to produce awe-inspiring statement pieces. Lindegaard’s African inspired prints are right on trend for 2013. However, having worked alongside West African craftsmen, her designs are authenticated by genuine knowledge and appreciation of these specific techniques and communities.
