Surf Liquor – ‘From The Roadtrip To Retail’

By October 5, 2013Fashion News

If you often find yourself day dreaming about hazy sunny days, long sandy beaches and a carefree life, you may find the SS14 collection from Surf Liquor rather appealing. Having successfully incorporated all of this into their fuss free clothing, the street wear brand are doing their bit to take the stress out of dressing. What with the introduction of the custom-made “Cruiser” too, it seems they are trying to ease up our commute time as well.

Originally formed by a world travelling individual named Jonathan Cosserat, the brand has swiftly established itself as a fusion of vintage skate/surf wear and classic Americana.

The SS14 collection itself inhibits all that has come to be expected from Surf Liquor. Tees form the core of the collection, with a range of logos and prints meandering their way throughout. Heavily washed hoodies and lightweight sweaters also make an appearance, offering both practical and stylish outerwear options for the warmer months.

Key pieces within the collection include the blue washed hoody and the SL festival tee. However, a stand out piece comes in the form of the ‘on the rocks’ tee. With its retro font and vintage colour use, this instantly becomes the urban style seekers ‘must have’ piece.

By introducing their own welcome slice of Californian life into the London bustle, this brand appears to show no sign of stopping.
