Taking Copenhagen by Storm.
Scandi brand DEADWOOD presented its new collection, “Sands of Icarus,” at Villa Copenhagen earlier this month. The collection explored a post-apocalyptic theme, imagining a world where technology has spiralled out of control.
The show, set in the hotel’s catacombs, featured an immersive installation by artist Dominic Kiessling: a dynamic sandstorm created from parachute cloth, which models navigated as they showcased the new pieces.
The colour palette shifted from scorched earth tones to a futuristic, silvery silica. The collection also featured a mix of textures, including dry-rot canvas, cracked leather, and modern mesh. Every garment intricately crafted from salvaged materials and enriched with experimental fabrics like natural latex.
This season also featured a collaboration with guest designer Salvatore Vignola, who added a sense of lightness to the collection.
