Converse have taken a few steps back with their latest collection, drawing inspiration from the classic age of the converse. We’re introduced to the iconic Chuck Taylor All Star basketball shoe which to the eye seems like the regular shoe but up close, has been reworked with a few new touches.
There’s added cushioning for comfort, higher rubber foxing and some extra space in the toe box to name a few. Though not everything has been retouched, there’s also a reissue of two of the first ever prints to feature on chucks, zebra and camo. We also get a primary coloured colour-way set which includes the classic details such as a vintage license plate on the heel, Strong canvas materials used for the body and a higher quality stitching.
The collection is accompanied by their new Sneaker Clash campaign which was inspired by the bright and bold looks of their latest designs for summer 2014. Sixteen cities will be see pieces of art created by renowned graffiti artist Queen Andrea on miscellaneous buildings across the world.
