Converse have taken a few steps back with their latest collection, drawing inspiration from the classic age of the converse. We’re introduced to the iconic Chuck Taylor All Star basketball shoe which to the eye seems like the regular shoe but up close, has been reworked with a few new touches.

There’s added cushioning for comfort, higher rubber foxing and some extra space in the toe box to name a few. Though not everything has been retouched, there’s also a reissue of two of the first ever prints to feature on chucks, zebra and camo. We also get a primary coloured colour-way set which includes the classic details such as a vintage license plate on the heel, Strong canvas materials used for the body and a higher quality stitching.

The good people over at Puma have recently released a short and insightful video that looks at the reissue of their classic Trinomic XT2 shoe in 2013 and the rest of the range.

The clip features Puma designers Ron Perkins and Yoshi Yoshimura who both give us a little history on the shoe and bring to light the meaning behind the ‘Born on the Track, Back For The Street’ title they’ve been running with. The work behind the 2013 revamp of the running shoe is expressed as well as the behind the scenes work on a whole at such a major brand like Puma which is interesting. Not only that, but we also get to feast our eyes on a few pieces of what they’ve got in store for us in the months ahead.
