When you think British streetwear and Graffiti art you don’t automatically think of a fruit cocktail. But this is exactly what Boxfresh, the streetwear label from London, and graffiti artist and illustrator Josh Stika have done.
With intricately illustrated details on both footwear and apparel, Josh Stika has collaborated with Boxfresh to create streetwear with an artistic edge. The Fruit Cocktail design, with miniature fruit shapes, covers some key pieces in the collection, including a hooded sweatshirt and a crew-neck T-shirt.
Josh Stika has worked with many labels before, including Paul Smith, so a new collaboration is nothing new to him. But the partnership does mark a return to his fashion roots, because Stika worked at the labels flagship store before going to study at Central Saint Martin’s College of Art and Design.
The Fruit Cocktail print shows a strong understanding of current trends and a strong aesthetic for colour and design, and a resilient loyalty to innovation.
The collection is now available at Boxfresh.
