Canali’s collection at Milan Fashion Week, showcasing their Spring/Summer 2015 collection, was excellent.
This collection was full of menswear staples – but with important detailing. The trousers were consistently cuffed to the exact same length, the colours were consistent – a mixture of nude hues, regal blues, blacks with whites and the occasional statement piece in a vibrant orange or yellow. The aesthetic was clean and elegant, all of it was truly wearable and we loved the belted trend that is becoming bigger and bigger across all seasons in both outerwear and for light jackets.
Footwear went from casual yet elegant slip ons, that we have seen from the likes of Lanvin, to formal black and white wingtips – the Italian trend of sneakers and suits was strong.
This is a collection that would hold up very well not only at Pitti Uomo but on the streets of London and Paris.
