Modla x Damilola Odusote collaborates again.
Modla co-founder and head designer Jon Fidler has teamed up again with London based artist Damilola Odusote for another amazing three-dimensional sculpture. The last time we saw these two come together; they put forth an amazing 3D sculpture that was inspired by the iconic Air Force 1. This time round the pair had been asked by Converse to give the legendary All-Star Chuck Taylors the same treatment. Damilola used his unique sketching style to design a very intricate 2D detailed sketch which includes important periods in converse history, including WW2 fighter jets, rock ’n’ roll as well as basketball culture. Jon then goes on to designing a final piece in 3D, not long before it gets printed using SLS nylon plastic.

Since he wore his Vintage Vivienne Westwood Brown Fedora hat at the Grammy’s this past year we’ve seen different variations show up more and more in menswear. Fedora’s on men are nothing new, but whether they are stylish or not has always depended on time, and now, they are in.
They were around during the prohibition era (check Boardwalk Empire season 1-5) and back now to compliment the ode we are paying to timeless fashion. Fall 2014 has made the fedora hat a great staple to wear with any outfit whether it be casual or formal. It makes a statement without being too loud and can transgress a subtle outfit into something far more appealing.
