AKA clothing introduces us with their AW14 men’s collection and taken it into a new direction.
This time round, the UK-based brand known for their luxury urban designs, have explored a range of styles; including one that has slowly became a big feature throughout the summer – the collarless shirt. In addition to this, the collection also includes long and short-sleeved patterned shirts, plain tees, patterned panels, and a bomber jacket. Each piece exudes style as they have found some type of “new ground” through their exploring, which really seems to fit in with the brand.
While AKA experiment with different cuts, shapes and fits; and a variety of printing techniques to produce their abstract and symmetrical patterns, they stay true to their minimalist monochromatic style. The minimalism of the brand is something to be admired, as it allows them to put the most attention and minor details into each piece. AKA have delivered a premium, polished collection that reflects the edgy urban streets of Manchester.
