River Island teams up with James Long for an electric collaboration.
British high-street retailer River Island has tapped James Long who is one of the top British menswear designers today for their Spring Summer 2015 Design Forum collaboration. Every season, River Island is known to collaborate with exciting cool designer talents from the likes of Katie Eary and Joseph Turvey, and this time James Long is the latest designer to be part of this great creative initiative.
Keeping true to his signature aesthetic, the James Long SS15 River Island Design Forum collection features a 10-piece collection that is unique and visually captivating. There is the hooded nylon bomber with Long’s hand drawn artwork, oversized t-shirts with graphics and geometric shapes as well as sweatshirts with stripes for a more fun take on sportswear. Echoing the sports luxe trend, expect neoprene joggers and shorts that are trimmed just below the knees. As for accessories, expect neoprene rucksack emblazoned with Long’s own sketches and some very cool mirrored sunglasses.
With an eclectic mix of sports wear and street wear, this collection is perfect for the modern man who loves mixing his clothes and isn’t afraid of a little boldness. It’s just sketches for now and we can’t wait to see how the real garments will turn out.
The collection goes on sale in February 2015 in selected stores in the UK and online with prices ranging from £28 – £90.
