After much speculation and talks about the four expected colourways, earlier this week Nike released the first few images of the colourways to come. Months ago Nike insisted the olive colourway used in the previews would not be included in the pack, however under a different name and a slightly darker hue, we give you the “Dark Loden”.
Almost an earth brown on the upper whilst a earthly green is on the toebox, a translucent silicone lockdown strap replace laces, with a woven upper. If that wasn’t enough, Nike issued us with colourway number two, “Photo Blue”. This time, a bright blue woven upper with a matching toebox and heel, shows how versatile these are going to be. Both have a fresh white midsole and plastic toe-guard, that also match.
As we’ve previously mentioned here at PAUSE the Nike Fragment Design and Sock Dart collaboration is well on its way, for those that had forgotten these have been highly anticipated. Initially released way back in 2004, the “Sock Dart” was way ahead of it’s time, but in a time where everyone has seemed to embrace soft materials and lightweight sneaker, they couldn’t have come at a better time.
