Every season Vans pay tribute to its founding fathers, and this season is no different.
This time around the re-issued Van Doren collection takes a flashback to the 80’s. The four silhouettes; Sk8-Hi, Reissue, Era and Slip-On, have all been equipped with fabric from an old friend. The importance of sourcing textiles and printed swatches from ‘Hoffman Fabrics’, is to make this as authentic is possible, like some of the brands first few sneaker designs. Rummaging through archives, designers have chosen bright coloured patterns, retro motifs to grace each sneaker. 80’s lips, fishes, tropic rays, with colourful backdrops give a throwback feel, but remains contemporary.
The Van Doren collection retails at £45 to £60, and is already available at specific Vans stockists.
