Alexander Wang Is Leaving Balenciaga

By July 29, 2015Fashion News

Siyen is a London born menswear brand providing premium garments with a contemporary twist. Releasing its Spring/Summer 2015 collection in time for summer, the collection is inspired by the Japanese way of life “wabi-sabi”.

Having had an interest in fashion for over a decade, the designer decided to change direction from bespoke garments to ready-to-wear. Each collection emerges from a concept inspired by art, the world we live in or an ideology.

With garments made solely in the UK and exclusive to siyen.co.uk.

WWD reported today that fashion designer Alexander Wang decided not to renew his Creative Director contract with fashion house Balenciaga. His upcoming show for the next Paris Fashion Week, scheduled for Sept. 29 to Oct. 7, will be Wang’s last. Sources say that a search is already underway for Wang’s successor. Wang had already planned to leave the brand and focus on his own label, which we at PAUSE think is a good idea as his own label Alexander Wang has always been his key focus. Wang joined Balenciaga back in December 2012, replacing Nicolas Ghesquiere who left to work at Louis Vuitton. We look forward to seeing who will be taking Wang’s spot for Balenciaga.
