Think lightweight pieces, sartorial silhouettes and neat shoes. Think outdoor parties, laid-back ambiance and obviously, selfie games at their very best. Here you are, ready to dress the part for the upcoming summer occasionwear and the prom season – for the ones influenced by the US culture. We at PAUSE decided to set aside our long-time cherished sneakers and as the Spring/Summer season has definitely kicked in, it’s now time to carefully select the best pieces that will find their way towards our partywear selection.

Whether you’re on your way to celebrate some friends’ birthday, you want to be the party’s centre of attention or you’re getting ready for London’s biggest night outs, Matalan’s Guide Collection has got you covered with a selection of four influential bloggers ready to help you: along with their tutorial videos and concise post recommendations, the strong team formed by menswear aficionados Craig Landale (@MenswearStyle), Michael Adams (@Michael84blog) Carl Thompson (@Hawkinsandshepherd) and Robin James (@ManForHimself) easily guide you into occasionwear, teaching men how to tie a tie, pick and clean the right shoes and find the right fit for your upcoming suit. Why don’t you complete the guide by adding some personal touches from your own wardrobe, with a staple accessory or a new piece you’ve never worn before?

So now that you have the “Occasionwear Guide 101” in hand, we think that you have no more excuse for not wearing those cufflinks, buy the dark brown brogues you were longing for, or fold this print pocket square of yours. Eveningwear sorted.

Worldwide retailer Zara has just released their long awaited Eveningwear look book for the fall under the name “EVENING”. Featuring suits, overcoats and gowns to cater for both male and female, the capsule is a toned down and subtle showcase of class and sophistication.

A joining of deluxe detail and fabrics and Zara’s notorious slim and slender silhouettes are what this winter needed. Velvet, Cashmere and deluxe wool blends, this capsule doesn’t shy away from offering classic fabrics that have until recently been ignored in men’s formal wear. It’s nice to be reintroduced to materials that once defined and epitomised the classic man’s evening outfit.

Be sure to visit as this collection most definitely will supply your style this winter.

New brand NXXUS launched its website on 5th November 2015.

NXXUS SOCIAL MEDIA PIC

The brand has entered into the competitive street luxe fashion market that has recently seen a wave of new talent coming through. NXXUS differentiates themselves from those brands by still keeping on trend and generally keeping their designs simple and clean with a strong brand identity. That’s what the brand’s core is all about… an identity to a collective of people that have the same appreciation for good quality clothing and design.

“We want to have that kind of impact, you know the one where you see a guy wearing a piece from the collection and automatically know its NXXUS, that’s the aim!”

The design team got really stuck into the process, visiting suppliers internationally to find the right quality fabrics and manufacturers perfect for the job. This has really given the brand something extra.

The designs for the debut collection go back to basics with simple shapes, premium fabrics and well thought out detailing.  As a collection the designs bring to the table everything from a simple curved hem tee to neoprenes, experimental fabrics and an interesting use of design like mirrored numbers, embossing and 3M details… all fresh and innovative but identifiable with the brand.

“We want every guy to put on a piece of clothing and think ‘I look good’ to fill them with that confidence that they need for a night out or just everyday”

From the get go the aim was to bring a high quality product, with great details, fabrication and shape to a commercial customer.

“Not everyone can afford those £100 jumpers that you see these days from the premium brands. We believe our design and quality is just as good, if not better, but at a more accessible price.“

Prices start from £35 – £45 for t-shirts, £50 for sweats and £70 for Neoprene Bombers.

NXXUS  is offering all PAUSE followers 10% off their order this weekend (6th – 8th Nov) by entering PAUSE10 at the checkout. Shop the collection now at www.nxxus.com
