Day 1 of LCM sees awe inspiring Astrid Andersen take to the stage for yet another incredible show.
Inspired by the concept and constraints of ‘Time’, the collection attempts to blur the distinctions between not only Summer and Winter, but between leisurewear, evening wear and casual wear. Astrid Andersen SS17 features lightweight trans-seasonal fabrics, premium gold colour palettes and snakeskin prints giving the overall collection a luxe appeal. Print was created by heat transfers courtesy of Avery Dennison, accompanied by lace produced by design house Sophie Halette and shoes supplied by Nike.
Embroidery and woven badges take centre stage within Andersen’s SS17 showcase, all ingrained with reworked knits and updated versions of conventional silhouettes. The showcase also featured Andersen’s debut womenswear range, set to be sold alongside menswear as one ‘creative vision’ following LCM.
