Not a label to shy away from a bit flesh bearing, Sibling didn’t disappoint by getting the (already hot) fashion week attendees even hotter right off the bat. To the tune of 2pac & Dr.Dre’s ‘California Love’, the first model (think pumped-up muscleman) ripped off his towel mid-walk to cheers from the crowd.
After setting the mood, the Californian-inspired vibes kept rolling with look after look of golden state inspired tropicana. Playful, colour heavy beachwear came in the shape of tightly fitted speedos, trunks, loose cardigans and even cropped knitwear; making for a fun, gender neutral (who’s not doing that this season?) and excitable show.
The expectedly luminous colour scheme shone through in shades of red, blue, white and graphic prints, including the very Cali appropriate leaf print. Beams of sequins and glitz came in the form of corsetry, which was sported by both the ladies and the gents. Beachside collection? yes. Water appropriate? probably not. Do we love it all the same? Of course – it’s Sibling.
